Sounds like a very nice car! As a classic auto dealer (who actually specializes in Mustangs), I can tell you that these are sought after convertibles and having the 351 is a nice bonus. If the car is nicely restored with few minor flaws and no obvious issues, it'll bring between $26,000 and $30,000. Kevin Marti at Marti Autoworks in El Mirage, AZ. can help you to find out what the actual production nukbers were for your car. Hope that helps.
Re: 1970 mustang w/ 351 Cleveland... I had the pleasure of driving one of these in 1994. My grandfather let me use it spring/summer of that year. It was one of 170 w/ the 351 cleveland/ 4V/ Hurst 4spd combinations. It didn't have a shaker hood, however it was beatiful. It is unfortunatly no longer w/ us and I have been looking for another of the same since. I have 2 66 fastbacks and a 65 convertable currently and would love to put another 70 in the stable. Just thought you all should know it's a keeper and I am truly envious.
Nice thats a sweet body style. I just bought me an all original 95% rust free 72 mach 1 mustang from Texas. She has the original 351 Cleveland CJ which is a factory 4 barrel with a 750 carberator which was just overhauled, hooker headers, dual exhaust, C6 cruise omatic transmission and the 9" rear end! The car also has factory air, and power steering.
