1. make sure there is gas in the tank 2. pull the line off that goes to the fuel pump from the tank and put a chunk of hose on it, put that hose in a gas can and see if it pumps fuel 3. you can try to suck on the fuel line, if you suck on it and pressure doesn't build there is a leak in the line somewhere, if it builds pressure and you don't suck up a bunch of fuel eventually, then it is clogged I would use those steps to get a better understanding of what could be wrong, or at least eliminate some of the options

pull feed line from tank to pump at pump pull gas cap and blow air through line have some one listen at tank this should clear any line blockage if no air at tank then listen for air blowing along fuel line path repair leaks also drop tank and replace pickup screen after all this time probably in bad shape if car has been sitting might be full of varnish had 71 notchback with 351c 2v fmx trans my friends hated that car cause they would get me comming off the line but if i was back to their fender before i hit second it was all over for them would walk right pastand leave

Had the same problem in my Dads 64.5. We found out the gas tank had rust in it or some sort of sediment that was flowing into the lines and clogging them. Heres what we did.. We were able to blow air through the fuel filter so that wasnt a problem. then we took the fuel hose before the filter that originally led to the carburetor and ran it into an empty bucket, we turned on the car to see if fuel came out which it didnt so, we knew there was a blockage. we checked the metal fuel line under the car for kinks, which there were none. We undid the rubber hose fuel line from the fuel pump to the driver side and the rubber hose fuel connector under the car on the driver side under the car from the metal fuel line to the fuel tank. We blew compressed air from the fuel line under the hood to the back and blew out a ton of the black sandy/rubbery like material. We then noticed the metal line going into the tank from there was clogged too and removed the fuel tank to see that it had that black/brown sediment, we guessed was rust inside the tank which would turn any new fuel being poured into it and dumped out dark brown. We replaced the fuel tank and rubber lines and everything worked!
