UK ford focus 2006 diesel 2.0 ....17 amp battery drain with ignition off from
circuit titled auxiliary heater, which i dont have. Remove fuse battery drain
returns to normal.
Question is is the auxiliary heater circuit exclusive or does anything else take
power from this circuit?

I don't have a diagram but the easiest way to tell is to remove the fuse and see what doesn't work. 17 amps is a big drain maybe you should leave the fuse in and see what gets warm or Hot.
thanks for your reply. Tried that, but difficult to reach into the bowls of the engine bay to check for heat in the wiring. .Removed fuse and all things seems to work ok, but was hoping someone with access to wiring diagram (I cant find one on tinternet) could confirm its a fuse exclusively for the aux heater. cheers john c
Check the engine cooling fan motors there should be 2 One may be jambed or stuck.
ford focus uk has ONE engine cooling fan on a totally different fused circuit
