2006 Ford Ranger Stalling

Asked by Kimberly Sep 13, 2021 at 02:26 PM about the 2006 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter has a 2006 Ford Ranger that has
recently been stalling. Happened 3 times last
week. Went to shop and was told the starter was
bad so had that replaced. Happened this afternoon
once while in park. She was able to start it up after
with no issues. Any thoughts on what to check? Is
there anything I can check/do on my own without
having to take back to the shop? Not against that, I
want her in something safe, just don't want to be
taken advantage of not knowing anything about
cars. Any advice would be appreciated.

1 Answer

Engine light on? Tune up, filter change, clean the intake system and the idle control valve.
