Wrench light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When I go over 80mph my wrench symbol light
pops up on my dash. It's happened 3 times now
and there seems to be absolutely nothing wrong
with my car. It drives fine and I can't figure out why
the light pops up. It stays on until I shut the car off
and doesn't come in again until I'm over 80mph.

I believe that is a power train fault warning. Have the trouble codes read to know what is going on.
What exactly does that mean? Lol I tried to go and do it today but they said they couldn't tell me anything cause light isn't on right now
There may be codes to read even if the light is not on.
The light will illuminate as long as a fault is detected. If the fault is not detected at a lower speed, the light goes out, but the fault should be stored in the system. Have someone actually hook up a reader and check for faults stored.
My yellow wrench light comes on about every third time I drive my '10Explorer. I suspect that this is related to a recent problem when the same wrench light came on but was red with the message "SERVICE RSC NOW", along with an audible alarm, and the trans shifted itself into 3rd gear and stayed there until I restarted the vehicle (there was a loose connector located in the console). I took it back to the dealer and there are no codes stored. The light goes out if I press the reset button or if I turn off ignition. I will try taking it to the shop and have the codes read while the vehicle is running and the light is on.
