why do my brakes go almost to the floor

Asked by Guru9NRJS Jul 30, 2017 at 06:22 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: General

I replaced the wheel bearing on the left front. I pulled the disc and calipers off
in one piece without taking them apart. After putting everything back together I
can't pump the brakes up. they go almost to the floor but still work well enough
to stop me. The brakes worked perfectly before I did the job.

i'll take a look tomorrow morning. So far I haven't lost any brake fluid. I don't remember having a bleeder screw otherwise I would have tried to bleed the wheel first. I was also told that I might have twisted the brake line when I put the calipers back.If you think of anything else. Let me know.
