wind noise on drivers side front door on 2007 chevy truck

Your rear view mirrors should be designed to cut through the air as you're driving, however, more domestic automotive manufacturers seem not to be worried about this factor. My 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix had the same problem (sold years ago). My 2005 Nissan Frontier does not (still have).
A wind noise seems to be a problem with the windshield post at driver's and passengers side. There is sometimes also a popping noise associated with the wind problem. I have found the source to be at the molding at the top of the windshield. Try taking taking a ride on a windy day a highway speeds with masking tape around the top and sides of the windsheild as a test. Several people have repaired with clear silicone but I am hoping the dealer will have a more professional fix. Hope this was helpful for you.
