1996 chevy 1500 stock. what is the largest size tires i can put on his truck? Right now it has a 235/75 r15, what is the biggest tire i can go without the tire rubbing? or scrubbing?

Depends on the width of your wheels. Most 1500 series trucks including 2WD can fit 31/10.50R15 tires on 15X7.5 or 8 with the correct offset. But the stock 6" wide wheels were usually limited to what you have now, 235/75R15's.

not sure if your chevy has the same wheel clerence as my 150 but I have 33" x 10.5x15 on it and they don 't rub
