Lost communication with TCM

Asked by fididit Sep 28, 2010 at 02:40 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

re the fusible links or anything else I can go to that will repower the TCM ? I have a feeling that one of the guys touched the TCM with a hot positive cable during the jump start and shorted something out.

touching the tcm with any power will short it , it would need to be replaced . also if jump starting and hooking up backwards or accidently shorting cables can also kill any module on car :(
