06 tahoe drivers power seat would not work until vehicle was shut off for several hours.Heated seats only work when they want to.Is there a relay that needs to be replaced? If so where is it located?
This sounds more like a wiring problem. You will need a wiring diagram and possibly a multi-meter to diagnose this problem. Start by checking to see if the circuit is protected by a circuit breaker. If it is, your problem is most likely a short to ground, which will cause a current to jump and trip the circuit breaker. The problem also could be a loose connector or an intermittent short caused by wiring rubbing against other wires or part of the chassis. Are any other systems affected?
