i have not done it yet but im also trying to put a 429 in my 79 and there are kits online for motor mounts and things of that nature its not cheep tho about 6 to 800 bucks. however the tranny will bolt up nicely and there is plenty of room under the hood

i did a 460 swap in my dads 78 bronco. it was easy as hell. you can buy the motor mounts there about a 150 and you need the bell housing for a 460. depending on if its auto or standard. the 351m bellhousing on a standard top loader is the same as a 460. but the auto is totally different.
