Honda Civic AC problems

Asked by Duanedd Jul 24, 2014 at 07:41 AM about the 2006 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just had the compressor replaced on my 06 Civic and it didn't fix the AC problem.  I took it back and they replaced the relay.  It also didn't fix the problem.  i took it back a third time and they found that the system was contaminated with metal shavings due to the compressor issue.  The dealer covered all of the labor but I had to pay for parts.  Honestly, I feel good about the whole deal because if they had discovered this issue up front, I would have had to pay for an additional 6-7 hours of labor.  The AC works great now and I will continue to have my service work done at this dealership.
