2006 Honda

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My friend has a 2006 Honda Accord with roughly
200,000 miles. But it's starting to break down, she's
wondering if she needs to buy a new one or if it
would be worth it to get it fix. The shop said that her
wheel bearings need to be replaced, power steering
pump, and tires and breaks. Would it be worth it to
get it fixed or should she just buy a new one? Any
and alll help is greatly appreciated thank you.

It looks to be about 2,000 in repairs it could be fixed but with a car this old and the amount of miles im sure something will break down next. It hard to say if she has the money then yeah buy something eles if not fix it and hope for the best.just make sure you check over any used car she purchasees realky well by a mechanic to make sure she doesn't need to make any repairs for a while. Good Luck
Thank you that's what I was thinking. She took really good care of the vehicle but the car shop she went to wanted about 3000 for all the repairs and that's almost what she paid for the car. Thank you for the advice.
This car is only worth keeping if you're a mechanic and can do repairs yourself, both minor and major. If you have to pay someone to do those for you, you'll go broke. At 200K miles, it's going to start needing a lot of work. She should sell, trade-in, or scrap out the car.
