Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My wife has a 2007 CRV that's having trouble starting. She is a dog walker and makes many, frequent, short trips and is constantly starting the car. We replaced the battery with the official Honda preferred battery and they checked the converter, starter, plugs, etc and insist they can't find anything else that's wrong. But she still has to try some-times 10 tries to get the car to start. What do we do?

Signs of a bad ignition switch could include dashboard lights that come off and on, problems with the vehicle starting and a switch that is hot to the touch. A bad ignition switch can mimic other problems that are seen in a car, such as a faulty motor starter.

So, for instance, in the morning it will just chug and chug and it just doesn't turn over; after many tries it (so far) will eventually start. Then later in the day it might happen again. So it doesn't really seem to be the battery or it would slow or eventually just click like a dead battery. Even with a new battery it's happening. I wasn't sure if it just wasn't charging enough between stops; she might only drive a few minutes between stops...
was this ever solved? i have a 2016 crv push button start that is doing EXACTLY this :(
