Recognizing of 4x4 mode

Since one year i was running without "O/D
Off" symbol is it means i was running in
4x4 mode

OverDrive off means you are driving around in 3rd instead of 4th gear which caused poorer gas mileage. OD has nothing at all to do with 4wd.
