2004 honda CRV problem

Asked by Itrollkids96 May 15, 2018 at 04:53 PM about the 2004 Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I just got a 2004 Honda CRV about 5 days ago (used of
course) the lady who owned it, her nephew owns a car
shop and he maintained it for her, he put in a rebuilt engine
and everything. However whenever I turn to the left the oil
light comes on for a split second and then it disappears. Sk
I had my boyfriend check the oil, he said the oil is perfectly
fine it wasn't low or anything. However when I was driving
home from work yesterday, i was at a stop light and I
started to accelerate but it started jerking. The check
engine light came on right away. (Mind you this car had
made a lot of noises when I got it. She said it's because the
exhaust was loud, and all it needed was a rear u joint). My
boyfriends brother looked under my hood, there was like no
coolant in there. The oil was BONE dry, and it was smoking
when he took the dipstick out. Once it cooled down we put
in more oil, but there was no leaking, we also filled the
coolant. I got it towed to the shop (the nephews shop). He
had said all that was wrong w 9hh tho it was the ground
wire was broken, so he replaced it.. he said there was
nothing else wrong with it. Yet why would I have the right
amount of oil in it, but two days later its nine dry. To me
that doesnt make any sense.
