go with magnaflow, sounds wicked. Thats what ive got on my 01 s10 xtreme
im a flowmaster man myself. gives you alittle higher crackle. but still a good low once your break them in.
if u want it 2 sound like v8 flows, but u just want louder at higher rpms dyno max or magna flow i suggest 40series dual chamber flowmaster and hi flow catalytic converter
no muffler will make a v6 sound like a v8. the only way to get the sound of v8 is to actually have a v8 under the hood. But really, they all sound the same anyways, just if you want it a little louder remove the cat
hey man i dont know what you wanna do. but i know glasspacks are good. go with cherry bomb or thrush. they are pretty good glasspacks. or you could go straight pipes
glasspack is the cheaper method and sounds great. i got dual 18inchers on my dakota and it sounds great
i have a glasspack on my 1993 4.3L. it sounds good but i've heard some with a new flowmaster super 44 and it sounds good
please do us all a favor and dont use glass packs. get either a flowmaster 40 series or spintech super pro or pro street. glass sounds like ass no mater how you do it. its worth the extra money to go with a spintech and if u live somewhere without emissions testing do something about the cat too
What do you really want? A sound or performance improvement ? Spend the money and get a real quality muffler Flomaster or Dynomaxare both worth the money. Glasspacks do not really offer much in hp improvement .You may want to get a Dynomax high flow cat. You get what you pay for... go cheap and you get mediocre performance. Good luck!
well i have seen a improvement in hp on my s10 with a glass pack
glass pack would improve performance over the stock muffler, but if you spend a little more on dyno max or flowmaster than it would be even more ponies, between 10 and 15 more and the sound would be better too, i agree that all a glass back does for sound is make it sound like ass, if that is the sound your looking for just cut holes in the exhaust, i gutted the cat on mine and still have it on for looks for the curios police officer followed up with flowmaster muffler, great sound and i def. noticed a performance enhancement.
