2001 s10 runs great, ocassionally turn the key and nothing but lights, will not crank or start. replaced ignition switch it did not solve issue, any suggestions?

More than likely the problem stems from the (Starter/Solenoid) ? Check the battery cable at that point for loose or corroded connections. Let us know if this helps , ok?

I also have a 2000 S-10 240,000 +miles. The electrical part of the ignition switch could cause this also check the in park switch for the transmission. Also check your ground connection.
