2000 Chevy s10 transmission problems..

Asked by Lilred93 May 06, 2018 at 07:03 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet S-10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My s10 at first wasn't taking reverse or 1st
gear. After driving a little while, it completely
stopped takin any gears. Wouldn't pull at all.
Killed the truck about 5 minutes, then crunk
it back up, it would run maybe 10 feet at 10
mph and quit again. I can hear gears
grinding is what it sounds like, almost
similar to when the torque converter went
out. I need help please, what can I do to get
it going again that isn't going to cost an arm
and a leg?
