no power getting to the fuel pump

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We hvae a 98 Chevy s10.  We  have  done the following,  Changed the fuel relay, Fuel pump is working, when we  unhook the wires we can prime the  fuel pump with a battery fuel comes out.  We have no power to the wires that connect  to the pump. BUT when we  jump the fuel pump the truck still doesn't not start.

Most of the time the problem is right there at the plugin. Check for power upstream from the plugin to insure power is reaching back there.

Thank you, WE have found we have water in the tank, so we unhooked the pump and just added fuel to the carb, it did try to start. Which is good. NOW its just the power TO the pump we need to figure out
