I have a 96 chevy pickup with a fuel injected 305 vortec. Stick shift. I have fuel at the motor with plenty of pressure. Won't run with starter fluid. What is the most common reason to lose spark?

The truck isn't carburated it has a throttle body so starting fluid is ineffective but your problem sounds more like you need to replace the coil
If it cranks but won't run/start then check for spark. If theres spark then the fuel line is clogged somewhere. If there's no spark then you need an OBD scanner to check for codes and then work from there. Could be 10- 12 different places to check, or as simple as a bad immobilizer or ignition switch.
