no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck won't start the starter clicks but that's
it. Battery is good and I put a need starter in
it today. Tried to jump it even but all it does
is click. All connections are tight. Not been
fuses.What's going on?

Either the battery is bad or bad battery cables, bad ground connection or the engine is frozen up. Put a socket on the harmonic balancer bolt, see if you can turn the engine over.

Skip that I see it now ......I have found that if cables ...connections.....battery and fuses are ok. Remove serpentine belt and check if alternator is seized...it seems like a stretch but I have seen it on these models 3 or 4 times now and it absolutely is a possibility.
