1995 Chevy Sonoma 2.2L 5 Speed ... Moisture Problem ?!?
Asked by ChevyChick2323 Oct 04, 2013 at 01:39 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet S-10
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Everytime it seems to rain, or even just the morning due... my truck misfires. I can barely even get it to start going without stalling it. It sounds like a Subaru, and it is very hard to drive. After driving it for a while or just letting it sit for a bit then driving it again it will be fine... HELP !!!

They have been changed twice now ! once last year and recently about 2 months ago !
Sounds like a crack or improperly seated distributer cap? Let us know what you find out, ok?

There is no distributer cap in my truck though. It has two coil packs
Sorry, I was looking at the wrong year for your truck... ! On the 95' for this problem several factors may exist... 1. Bad gas or moisture in the gas tank.. 2. Vacuum leak... 3. Check for a clogged air filter... 4. Check the in-line gas filter. 4. Add a bottle of fuel injector/carb cleaner to the gas tank...(After this, I think you did everything else right with wires, plugs, etc.) Let us know, ok?
