Gas coming from my headers.

I'm working on this mini truck and gas is
pouring out the headers when I roll it over. I
don't Have the exaughst all the way hooked
up so I have a pan collecting it. Fresh rebuilt
2.2 a couple of back fires but won't run?

Maybe it's your fuel regulator unit. I just read about it and it says fuel could come out of your exhaust pipes if the regulator is bad. Also could run really rough and have a lot of soot in your pipes or headers
