I need to replace the rear end on a 94 K1500 with 3.55 ratio. Is a 1990 rear end with a 3.42 ratio compatible?

if its 4wd no. you will ruin drivetrain components. if rwd then there should be no problem. its only a final drive, and will not really affect drivability. Hard to say whether or not vss will be skewed.
