Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1993 Chevy pickup C 1500. As I was
jumping it I burnt out the sea ECM computer. I
replace the computer with one from irreparable
wrecking yard and the salesman told me to replace
the blue chip that was on my old computer into
that one and the truck started but it ran real rough
and it doesn't shift the gears like it used to takes a
very long time to shift and it turns off at a stop and
the check engine light is on

You have a new ECM but it will need to be re-flashed to whatever factory spec required for your vehicle. Obviously the donor computer is not programmed to your specific needs. This will need to be done at a service dealer.
