Chevy S10 Overehated, temp guage is stuck at redlined. Won't start
My teenage son's 1991 Chevy S10 truck overheated horribly on the highway. He didn't notice until it died completely. Had to tow it home. Radiator was cracked - we just finished replacing it. Truck still won't start so I'm hoping for a suggestion on what to do next. The temp gauge in the dash is still stuck at the redline (max temp) point after several days, so I assume there's a temp sensor that fried? Is that the next logical replacement or am I missing a step? (I'm not a car girl). The truck acts like it wants to start but doesn't turn over. Appreciate any help!
