Asked by Graydonjohn Jan 27, 2014 at 11:51 AM about the 2005 Toyota Corolla

Question type: General

I have a 2005 corolla. However, I don't know which model it is (CE,LE,S,XRS). What
would be the easiest way to find out ? Thank you in advance.

There should be an emblem on the trunk lid. An LE has power windows, CE not,a XRS has a high performance 1.8liter, which is embossed on the top of engine (these are rare), S has power door locks and power mirrors. Maybe run your VIN through one of the VIN check sites, but don't pay any money to do so, there are plenty of free sites.

Thank you FN. Heres the thing. There is no emblem on the trunk lid. Just says Corolla. Does not look like one has been removed either. I don't think it is an XRS. It does have power door locks, power windows & power mirrors. I've tried a couple of VIN check sites. They all want $. would you happen to know the name of a site that doesn't want $ Thanx again for your help. Have a great day

From what you describe it is an LE, there are some websites for VIN#'s free but give very limited information, for a complete VIN# info they want your credit card.

Uh, to everyone who reads this thread, I have a used 2006 Toyota Corolla CE (as it says so on the trunk lid and is stock badging) and it has power windows, powerdoor locks, and power side mirrors. So, not sure where fordnut got his answer, go figure.
