Question type: Car Customization

I have a Corolla 2002, 1.3L automatic, standard rim is 14" with 185/65 tire, can I change
to 15" rim?! And 195/65 is good or I can use 185/65 ?!

Just curious where you are. In the US all 2002 Corollas are 1.8Liter with OEM P175/65R14 tires. Be that as it may, if you have 185/65-14 is a sidewall height of 4.75" (120.25mm) and total diameter of 23.47" (596.1mm) ..changing to a 195/65-15 gives you a sidewall of 4.99" (126.75mm). A 60mph read on your speedometer is a true 63.87 mph. Now, 185/65-15 you will have the same sidewall, (65% of 185mm) but a bigger diameter of 24.47" (621.5mm) and 60 on speedometer is a true 65.26. Every gear ratio, including final drive will be higher, giving you a bit more top speed at the cost of acceleration. This is information presented for you to decide. And again....where are you if you don't mind?

The 1.3 Liter Corolla was not available for the 2002 model year. Anywhere. The 1.3L-- 4E FE was sold in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Philippines in late 2002 as a 2003 model year. Then the 2 NZ FE 1.3Liter in 2007 model year in Japan. I am really curious if my information is wring (the tire stuff is right) but the engines. Could you please check again? Thank You

Hello FordNut I'm from Egypt, I bought it a used car and I think the first owner bought it from Arabic Gulf ( USA, UAE or Qatar ) Wrote in licence that it is 1.3L Your reply is much useful, I'm looking for nice looking for the car and prefer acceleration than top speed cause roads in here can't take more than 180 or 190km/h So if you were me, will you change to 195/60 R15 also ?!!

No. Especially if you prefer getting going quickly. You will lose that, and have a higher top speed, and that seems not to be your preference, and I don't blame you. The engineers and designers put the 14 wheels on for a reason, deviation from that, stock from factory effects your transmission. Especially with that small engine. My opinion is stay with the 14's. And that explains a lot, being in Egypt, and originally from Arabic Gulf area. I had no information on Corollas engines there. But that does not change the specifications of wheels/tires
