See I bought this truck back in 2012  so I had it 7 or
8 years but it's a 2002 sr5 v8 4.7l Toyota tundra the
check engine light has never worked they have
never came on why?

If the CEL never comes on when you turn on the key someone may have tampered with it before you bought the truck. Try reading the codes to see if there are any.
