TOYOTA ECHO 2000 car: Headlight Glow
Asked by nan007 Aug 28, 2010 at 08:57 PM about the 2000 Toyota ECHO
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
One day when I was parking my TOYOTA ECHO 2000 car, I hit a wall by front side of the car. After that, the car headlight’s glow is very low. When I use low beam, glow is unbelievably low. If I change it to high beam, glow increases, but it’s too much below to normal level. I can’t see long distance.
Both bulbs are very good. Even I tested with news bulbs. Still the problem exists.

It sounds like you need to re-aim the headlights. Either take it to a dealer or look up how to do it yourself online.
It is possible thst when you hit the wall a ground wire to the headlamps became loose or disconnected. A faulty ground circuit will make the headlights seem very dim. I would suggest that you have a qualified mechanic check this out for you.
Are the headlight aimed too low or are they not putting out enough light? The question isn't worded very well.
Larry, Thanks for reply. They are not putting out enough light.
