They have the same features but the RAV4 L has power moon roof, power windows and power door locks, as well as, cruise control and casette and cd player.
Okay randomly i have owned a '96 Rav4 and a '97 while my sister used to have a '99 Rav4 L. Put them next to each other and the L is a little bit fatter and lower to the ground. Nicer interior, more cup holders, etc. Not really too much of a difference.
RAV4 L is also just front wheel drive on some models and with no options for 4WD. I guess it depends from year to year.

I would like to know if The Toyota RAV4 is 4WD
All rav4s are different from each other. Please check with your mechanic regarding 2wd and 4WD and other specs
Buy your RAV4 here in Colorado - chances are VERY good that it will be AWD. Buy your RAV4 in San Francisco, chances are it will be Front-Wheel-Drive only. Which makes sense. My wife and I both live in Colorado and ALL the RAV4s here are "AWD". We went to San Francisco the summer of 2019 and we saw a LOT of Toyota RAV4s. They were ALL "Non- AWD". Who needs AWD in California by the ocean? Really? :D No freeze ...no stress! Unless you're driving over fire debris, or dead street drug dealers, haha!! :D
I agree with GuruHX9NC. We visited the Bay Area in 2017, and being both AWD RAV4 owners (hers is a 2012 Limited and mine is a 2014 LE) we both noticed that all the RAV4s there lacked the "AWD logo on the right rear lower area. As was pointed out ...who needs AWD where it never freezes? Here in the Denver area I have yet to see a non-AWD RAV4. Makes sense. This past February we got 22" of snowfall. AWD RAV4 rules out here!
This is Thoriated@gmail.com ...not GuruHX9NC. I answered the thread with the last two posts with RAV4 pics ...not Guru ...
