Why is my car still running hot

My 98 Toyota avalon .had a leak in radiator and it got real
hot few weeks ago ..it shut down it got so hot..but after
cooling it off it made it home since I replaced radiator and
after doin this I let it sit running for good thirty to fourth
minutes never got abovenormal took it down the road n
aabout twenty minutes later all of sudden temper gauge
vshot up to hot stopped in water was coming out overflow
boiling over top of it that fast ..so cooled it off got almost
home n bam running hot that fast ..please help

I would say do a compression test or block test to see if the head gaskets blown from the over hating , any temperamental over heating may be the thermostat , From my experience a $5** one from auto zoo is cheap and unreliable , I buy from the dealer because I ain't got time for that shtuff
