98 camry with 3.0 will only run with foot on gas and even then runs really rough

the car has sat for the last year in storage it ran fine then now it wont start unless u hold on the gas and even then it runs extremely rough.I have changed the spark plugs wires and installed a new catalectic converter and it still is the same. any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

get the diagnostic trouble codes...will reveal exactly what we need to focus on....at the outset, by your description would start thinking about a new throttle position sensor or TPS...accelerator position sensor on some models...but is where the human interfaces with the machine...yea this thing be it what it may~

Thanks for the response. I figured out it was just a REALLY DIRTY throttle body.

Check the oil.... hate to say but it could be jelled... if the oil isnt translucent, like olive oil and a rich brown color have it changed immediately... you may have to have to run a treatment through it

Also check vacuum hoses could have a small crack(s) and not be real obvious. Look for chewed (rodent) wires; Cold have a dirty ground connection Good Luck HTH
