Check fluid levels and bugs or opossums blocking the radiator. If the radiator hoses are old, they may collapse when hot, reducing the flow of coolant. When they are hot, put on work gloves and squeeze the hoses. If they give or feel mushy, change them. Last, it may be the thermostat or sensor.
