1996 toyota celica

Asked by dkwest2003 Oct 09, 2017 at 06:39 PM about the 1996 Toyota Celica

Question type: General

My friend went away for a week.  She parked her
car which was running fine.  Now she has come
home to a car that won't  start and a battery fully
charged. My question is does the alarm system
have anything to do with why the car won't  start?
If so what can i do to fix this problem.

Does the security light flash on the dash while trying to start it? Is this a crank no start or no crank no start?

Thank you for responding so quickly. To answer you question, yes the light does flash while trying to start it. And to answer your second question. It is a crank no start. Once again thank ypu. Awaiting your answer. Dianne

with it being a crank no start, it does not appear to be security related. Has battery been load tested? Just because it shows 12V while car is off does not mean it will start a car. Have you checked fuel pressure? Have you checked for spark?

Your Answer:

Celica
