Fuel lines bursting on "94 4Runner

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a "94 4Runner that I bought used, and for some reason the previous owner had removed the fuel return line and clamped it off at the engine. I can't find a replacement part and was wondering if I could use a high pressure rubber fuel line to run from the engine to the fuel tank. Thanks

Yes you can. Steel would be better but a braided rubber fuel line will work with good clamps

Whomever did that has rocks in his head, The return-type systems, which are no longer used, they are now returnless, but at the time the excess fuel had to return, hence the return line
nonono- forget the rubber- it is under the car, exposed to road hazards- and gasoline is flammable? right? any auto parts store sells the correct gauge steel fuel lines- you just have to bend it, and get it to stick under there by spot welding it in place- my guess is it was rusted-
