My 94 Toyota camry runs fine will the engine is cook but once I run it awhile it spits and sputters and dies if I stop or slow down. It's shifts fine and the temp Guage shows a little under half.

Replace your EGR valve. Do a tune up. Replace cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter. If you just got the car, who knows when it was done last. If car shows no improvement after a tune up and new EGR, post back and let us know........
