IMHO, leave the 3.0 in it. The Japanese computer systems were years ahead of American cars, and unless you're completely gutting the electrical system, it's going to be a nightmare. I've done a few computer controlled to non computer controlled swaps and it's not easy to get it right. Not to mention the drive train is not made for a motor twice the size. It won't take it unless you baby it, and if you baby it, you might as well keep the 3.0, which is an excellent engine.
DO NOT recommend this~! try to explain your needs to the parts counter~ you'll have a "frankencar"~
will a 2000 Toyota 22r motor work in a 1993 Toyota
