does the 1990 4 Runner have airbags? thanks!

I am buying a car for my high school son to drive, and would like the car to have at least a driver's airbag.

I don't believe so. My wife's 2 1990 Toyota Camry's did not have airbags, and my parents' 1992 Jeep Cherokee did not either. I don't know when airbags started to be federally mandated (I believe 1995ish?) but most vehicles prior to that did not have them.

no the 4runner did not incorporate airbags until the 96 models, everything from the early eighties to the 95 model doesnt have aribags
