Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1956 Chevy Sedan Delivery, 350 Chevy
small block. Powerglide automatic transmission.
Carter performance series 4 barrel carb. Will hold
idle in park or nuetral but dies as soon as I put it in
drive or reverse. Why??? Please any help will be
appreciated. Not sure if it is a 150 or a 210 though.
