Carb Problems?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 56 normally starts right up, however after driving for a short period of time, say 15 mins, if I shut it off, or stop and idle for a bit, the car dies and will not start again.  This has happened numerous times, finally starting after spraying carb cleaner etc in the carborator.  Any ideas?
