from a stop, a car without power steering can be hard to handle, but once you get it rolling a little, they get easier.yes, there are upgrade kits available. check online. while keeping it stock has value, if you don't enjoy driving it, what's the point?
Leave it alone. It is what it is. Use 2 hands and 2 feet.
the more you drive it, the more you will get used to it.
Use a steering knob on it. What they use to call a suicide knob. I have one on my truck and it is handy and my truck is a 2001 Nissan Frontier.
