1962 Bel-air 283 8-cylinder
Hey. New to the forum and already needing info. Anyone have any ideas on why my generator light keeps flickering when I put the car into gear? It started doing this after sitting for a couple weeks at a shop getting some glass work done. Never did it before. I tried adjusting the carb but it doesn't change anything. When not in gear, the idle speed seems right. Wants to stall now when I stop at red lights. Suggestions? Time to replace with an alternator? New battery? Old gas? Very frustrating. Appreciate any help.

first have a mechanic readjust the carb, the generator is most likely going bad not keeping the battery charged.its probley a 6 or 12 volt electeral system, have it upgraded to a 24 volt system, run a alt,be done with it.
