Allthough it's a Chevy, not a Ford, I still know the answer. You can definitely put 15 inch wheels and tires on a '66 Bel Air. The Bel Air is the same as an Impala and I had a '63 Impala with 15" rims on it at one time. Any 15" wheel will bolt right on as long as it has a 5 hole, standard Chevy 4-3/4" bolt pattern. I would run 15 x 6.5 stock steel rims and then you can use 15" full wheel covers or if you want to run with custom chrome rims like Cragars or American Racing or a chrome reverse with baby moons, then these would be best with a 15" x 7" wheel and a 225/70R-15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A for a wide stance or if you want a little taller tire then use a 225/75R-15. You can use these all the way around or put a 255/70R-15 in the rear with the 15" x 7" chrome rims. Have fun, Kenny.
Mr. Blue Oval is right about one thing, but not his vehicle selection! Anyway, you can virtually put any size rim with the correct bolt pattern, you just have to adjust the tire size accordingly. If you were to put a 15" rim with 285/75-15 on it would surely rub, but the sizes Blue Oval suggested will work great.
