what do I need to convert my chevy biscayne six cylinder charging system from a "generator to an alternetor" ?

Looks like there aren't many mechanics on here.. just modifiers! I did this on my '62. You need to go to http://www.yearone.com or your favorite aftermarket shop like http://www.jegs.com and look up a "1-wire alternator". The hardest part of this swap is the mounting bracket. My 1968's generator has the same housing as a alternator. I bought the adapter for the wiring from Year One along with the 1-wire alternator. EASY swap. Email me if you have further questions. Well worth doing as Generators don't charge at idle most of the time and alternators do.
