I've got a 1986 that will idle but will not accelerate. Any ideas?

I think you should check your fuel filters, you may have enough fluid getting past , to have it idle, but not enough, to do much more than that.

is your carb old how many km on the truck.. how does the throttle linkage look

i agree with bill, first change the fuel filter, if that dont fix it, check the fuel pressure and volume, and it will likely need the fuel pump.

Fuel pump gos out it won't start sorry my opinion. I could be wrong but. Not,let me know you guys are still the best I used to do this with 54 techs all day,it was a blast
