1988 sr5 rear tailgate, jerky window up and down, sometimes needs manual help. Need motor?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recent purchase of 1988 sr5. Window motor of rear tailgate does function but window retracts and raises in jerky movements as if missing a gear. Sometimes needs manual assistance. I removed the panels and observed the motion. Saw no missing teeth. Is this a common problem? Do I need a new motor or no?

Could be the motor going out.... Could also be bad bushings in the window regulator... Being an '88... Possibly both..
