my 1987 corolla dies whilst being driven. will restart 20 mins later and can run for weeks before it happens again, then again it can happen twice in one day does anyone have an answer for this.

dies whilst being driven, will start 15mins later and will run well for weeks then just dies again whilst being driven, this can happen twice in 1 day, have replaced module, coil, fuel pump, carby checked, fuel ventilation, no one can solve this problem am scared a car/truck could run up the back of me when I can't manage to get off the road

...make sure your battery is newer than five years old...clean the negative connection from battery to chassis ground....use a wirebrush, take it down to shiny metal....clean the connection from motor block to chassis...this is an important one too...clean the positive battery connection and connection to the solenoid...keep 'er all clean and you should not have any intermittent problems~
