How much is my 1983 worth?

Asked by Disney43 Jul 14, 2008 at 04:30 PM about the 1983 Toyota Celica

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm the only owner of a 1983 Toyota Celica GT, with 147,000 miles. Almost perfect body(only tiny dings). Has a cracked transmission and cracked dash board. Runs. Needs work. I live in the Los Angeles County area and don't need the car. I've had it out on the street for sale but only getting people who say it's only worth $200-400. Should I hold out for more or sell it at that price?

Not many reference vehicles for sale to compare price... Only one I saw was a '83 with 102k miles with 'immaculate engine bay' but needs body work for 1,000 obo Judging from that I'd think you could get $400-600 for a car with drive train problems... Hopefully someone into the early 80's Celicas will give you better information..

look for a toyota or a celica forum and sell it there if it truly has a straight body im sure many people would jump at it

Thanks. I'll look for a forum and see if I can find someone who would appreciate our 'family member'.
